Sharon Rotheram

My goal in founding Hogan Rotherham Forensic Accounting was to provide clients with expertise unlikely to be found outside of the major accounting firms. By organising as a boutique firm with a lean organizational structure, we can be more responsive and our expertise can be provided at a more reasonable cost. In addition, I wanted to ensure a clear focus on client needs through careful management of the number and types of assignments accepted.

In 1992, I began my accounting career as a trainee chartered accountant In Liverpool specialising in the audit of medium and small companies.

Once qualified I set up my own general accountancy practice which has now traded for 15 years. All of my practice growth has been organic.

I have implemented accountancy systems for clients, assisting them in building successful businesses and dealt with numerous HMRC enquiries. I have in depth knowledge of UK GAAP, Financial and Management accounting and all aspects of taxation.

Alongside my practice I have developed forensic skills and expertise.

I have studied and qualified in Law & Procedure and Cross Examination.

My education and professional experience over the past 25 has given me a solid grounding to be an expert in my field.

I am a member if EWI and I am currently applying for membership of the Accredited Forensic List with ICAEW. I have also applied for the Academy of Experts.

I am currently a member of following organizations:

  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales
  • Expert Witness Institute
  • Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (pending)
  • Academy of Experts (pending)
